The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was up 3.7% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 3.7% lower.

BlackRock ( BLK ) and Jio Financial Services' joint venture has received the Securities and Exchange Board of India's approval to start its mutual fund business operations in the country, Jio Financial said. Shares of BlackRock ( BLK ) were up more than 1% premarket.

Bank of Nova Scotia ( BNS ) shares were down more than 2% after the company reported lower fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings that also missed analysts' estimates.
