The Philadelphia Housing Index was adding 0.6%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was 0.8% higher.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) jumped 5.2% to $92,545, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 1.6 basis points to 4.45%.
In economic news, the US seasonally adjusted consumer price index rose by 0.2% in October, as expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg, and following a 0.2% increase in September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Wednesday.
In corporate news, Hut 8 ( HUT ) shares jumped past 9% after the company reported it swung to a Q3 profit as revenue more than doubled compared with a year earlier.
The US is looking into Russian clients that UBS (UBS) acquired through its Credit Suisse acquisition, Reuters reported. UBS shares fell 1.2%.
Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ) is willing to abandon its bid for Banco Sabadell if stringent Spanish regulatory requirements undermine the deal's appeal, BBVA Chief Executive Onur Genc said. BBVA shares were shedding 0.7%.
