Mar 4, 2025 6:51 AM

09:16 AM EST, 03/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks declined premarket Tuesday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) recently 0.4% lower.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares ( FAS ) was down 1.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares ( FAZ ) was 1.3% higher.

Paysafe ( PSFE ) shares fell nearly 9% after the company reported a decline in Q4 adjusted earnings, while revenue missed analysts' estimates. The company also issued 2025 outlook below analysts' expectations.

Citigroup ( C ) almost credited a wealth management customer's account with about $6 billion by mistake in April last year due to a copy-paste error, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Citigroup ( C ) shares were down more than 1% pre-bell.

Hagerty ( HGTY ) shares were down more than 4% even after the company reported its Q4 swung to adjusted earnings as revenue increased during the period.
