Supreme Court to hear all petitions against cryptocurrency ban today
Sep 11, 2018 12:10 AM

The Supreme Court on Tuesday is likely to hear all petitions against the cryptocurrency ban by the Reserve Bank of India(RBI).

While crypto investors filed a complaint against the ban, the top court had refused to lift RBI's ban on cryptocurrency dealing.

Earlier in July, RBI had told the Supreme Court that allowing dealings in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoins would encourage illegal transactions and it has already issued a circular prohibiting the use of these virtual currencies.
