02:01 PM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Adial Pharmaceuticals ( ADIL ) said Thursday it has received a notice of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for a new patent covering additional genotype combinations identified through its genetic diagnostic tool.

The company said that once issued, the patent will expand its intellectual property protection around AD04, its lead investigational drug that aims to treat alcohol use disorder.

Adial shares were down more than 6% in recent trading.
