08:41 AM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aemetis ( AMTX ) said Tuesday its Keyes plant subsidiary has signed a $30 million engineering, procurement and construction contract with Centuri's ( CTRI ) NPL Construction subsidiary.

Aemetis ( AMTX ) said the contract is for the installation of a mechanical vapor recompression system at its ethanol production facility in Keyes, California, with completion targeted for Q2 of 2026.

The project, which is aimed at reducing natural gas usage at the Keyes plant by about 80%, has received about $19.7 million in tax credits and grants from the Internal Revenue Service, California Energy Commission, and Pacific Gas & Electric, Aemetis ( AMTX ) said.
