AES Q2 Adjusted Earnings Rise, Revenue Declines

05:24 PM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AES ( AES ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings late Thursday of $0.38 per diluted share, up from $0.21 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.37.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $2.94 billion, down from $3.03 billion a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.19 billion.

The company said it expects to achieve the upper half of 2024 adjusted EPS guidance of $1.87 to $1.97. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $1.92.

AES ( AES ) shares were down 1.9% in recent after-hours activity.
