08:47 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AEye ( LIDR ) said Monday it has begun field deployments of Optis, a full-stack lidar system powered by Nvidia's ( NVDA ) Jetson Orin.

The company said it is currently working with its partners to open its platform to a broad set of developers, as it looks to combine its Apollo lidar technology with advanced computing and physical artificial intelligence.

AEye ( LIDR ) Chief Executive Matt Fisch said the technology is being deployed in various applications, including airport safety and security, perimeter monitoring, and transportation logistics.

Shares of AEye ( LIDR ) were up more than 16% in recent premarket activity Monday.
