The company aim to do better than industry in FY19, said Pawan Munjal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Munjal said he is very optimistic of FY19 being a good year for the industry and the company as well. The first two months of FY19 have been great on back of a good FY18.
The company is set to launch ‘Xtreme 200R’ very soon, followed by scooters and then followed by ‘XPulse’, said Munjal from the sidelines of the World Cup 2018 that is underway in Russia.
When asked about market share in the above 150 CC segment, he said they are looking to increase the market share in the premium segment.
The company has also been doing very good in the commuter segment on back of many products and by continuously renewing them.
He said the Jaipur Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) has been working hard on incorporating BS-VI norms into products.
“BS-VI has been a challenge but the company has been working on that and are changing and modifying engines for that and would be ready for launch before April 1, 2020,” Munjal added.
