Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.32.
Revenue for the quarter that ended June 30 was $3.02 billion, up from $2.91 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.91 billion.
For Q3, the aluminum segment expects sequential unfavorable impacts of about $90 million due to US Section 232 tariffs on imports of aluminum from Canada, said the company in a statement.
Alumina costs are expected to be favorable by roughly $100 million sequentially.
Shares of the company traded 1.1% higher in after-hours activity.
