05:57 PM EDT, 06/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Algoma Steel Group ( ASTL ) reported fiscal Q4 earnings late Thursday of CA$0.10 ($0.073) per diluted share, compared with a loss of CA$0.19 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of CA$0.02.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was CA$620.6 million, down from CA$677.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected CA$588 million.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at US$0.05 per share. The new dividend is payable on July 19 to shareholders of record on July 2.

Algoma shares were up more than 2% in after-hours activity.
