Allstate's February Catastrophe Losses Below $150 Million Reporting Threshold

09:25 AM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Allstate ( ALL ) said Thursday that its estimated catastrophe losses for February were below the $150 million reporting threshold.

Rate increases for the insurance giant's auto insurance resulted in a premium impact of 0.1% for February and 1.5% year-to-date, while rate increases for its homeowners insurance resulted in a premium impact of 2.4% for the month and 2.7% year-to-date.

Allstate ( ALL ) also said that rate increases and inflation in insured home replacement costs resulted in a 12.4% increase in homeowners insurance average gross written premium in February compared with the same month a year earlier.
