12:59 PM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) said Tuesday it is expanding its "Personal Intelligence" capabilities in the US across AI Mode in Search, the Gemini app and Gemini in Chrome, aiming to deliver more personalized responses by connecting data from users' Google ( GOOG ) apps.
In a blog post, Google ( GOOG ) said the feature will allow users to link services such as Gmail and Google Photos to generate tailored answers based on past activity, including shopping preferences, travel history and device purchases, without requiring detailed prompts.
The expanded functionality can provide customized recommendations, troubleshoot technical issues, suggest travel plans and help users manage schedules based on individual habits and stored information, Google ( GOOG ) said.
The feature is optional and designed with privacy controls, allowing users to choose when to connect apps, while stating that its AI models are not directly trained on personal content such as emails or photos, Google ( GOOG ) said.
