07:22 AM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Zoox unit said Wednesday it is expanding the testing of its robotaxi service to Austin and Miami, its fourth and fifth public testing locations.

Zoox said it will deploy its retrofitted Toyota Highlander test fleet and that the testing is set to start "soon" in small areas near the cities' business and entertainment districts.

The Amazon ( AMZN ) unit also said it will not deploy its purpose-built robotaxi in Austin or Miami yet, as it continues to target Las Vegas and San Francisco as its first commercial markets.
