05:26 PM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ambac Financial Group ( AMBC ) said late Monday it completed the $420 million cash sale of its legacy financial guarantee businesses, Ambac Assurance and Ambac Assurance UK, to funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management.

The deal followed approval earlier in the day from the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance for the sale of Ambac Assurance.
