12:59 PM EDT, 10/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ameresco ( AMRC ) said Friday its Pu`uloa Microgrid project has been chosen to be a part of the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships Program administered by the US Department of Energy's Grid Deployment Office.

In collaboration with the US Navy and Hawaiian Electric, the planned 99-megawatt microgrid will enhance energy resilience and reliability for Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam and the broader Oahu community, the company said.

Shares of Ameresco ( AMRC ) were up about 3% in recent trading.
