02:34 PM EDT, 11/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- American Water Works ( AWK ) unit New Jersey American Water said Friday it has finalized the $6.5 million acquisition of Manville, New Jersey's wastewater collection system, expanding its services to 4,300 new wastewater customers.

New Jersey American Water said it has committed to investing at least $10 million in wastewater system enhancements over the next decade as part of the deal.

Shares of American Water Works ( AWK ) fell 1.1% in recent trading.
