07:16 AM EDT, 09/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ANI Pharmaceuticals ( ANIP ) and Alimera Sciences ( ALIM ) said Wednesday that they have scheduled the closing of their merger agreement on Sept. 16.

The closing date was set after Alimera, whose shareholders approved the merger on Sept. 4, said that it filed a lawsuit in the Delaware Court of Chancery to force ANI to complete the merger.

Alimera's shares rose over 6% while ANI's shares fell nearly 3% during recent premarket activity on Wednesday.
