05:26 AM EST, 11/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Global Management ( APO ) and RWE have closed their partnership transaction and secured financing for Amprion's investment to expand the German electricity transmission grid, the latter said Wednesday.

The newly formed joint venture between the parties holds RWE's ownership in Amprion, RWE said, adding that it received 3.2 billion euros ($3.70 billion) from Apollo in exchange for an equity ownership in the JV.

RWE said it will reinvest the funds into Amprion and maintain the JV's operational control.

Amprion is a German transmission system operator.

Apollo Global's shares were down almost 1% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
