11:38 AM EDT, 10/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) said Tuesday it is launching its new Mac mini computer with M4 and M4 Pro chips.

With the M4 chip, the new computer will deliver up to 1.8 times faster central processing unit performance and 2.2 times faster graphics processing unit performance compared with the previous M1 model, the company said.

The new Mac mini, which starts at $599, was also built for Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence technology, the company added.

Pre-orders for the new computer start from Tuesday in 28 countries and regions, including the US, and it will become available beginning Nov. 8, the company said.
