06:00 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple's ( AAPL ) motion to halt some of the provisions of a federal judge's order requiring the company to open its App Store was denied, according to a ruling by the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
The iPhone maker moved to delay the ruling of US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, which found Apple ( AAPL ) in contempt of an earlier injunction and ordered the company to allow developers more flexibility in directing users to alternative payment options in April.
Following the ruling, Epic Chief Executive Tim Sweeney posted on X that the "long national nightmare of the Apple ( AAPL ) tax is ended."
Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
