11:30 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- NEO Battery Materials ( NBMFF ) on Thursday said it reached a joint development agreement (JDA) with a North American battery-cell manufacturer to improve the performance of silicon anode materials for electric automotive and mobility applications.
NEO will supply its polymer-coated silicon anode materials to the partner for integration into their lithium-ion battery cells. The collaboration will see NEO's silicon anodes modified according to the scale-up of battery cell sizes and formats.
The company also said it is finalizing the land-lease agreement with a Canadian municipality for the construction of its North American Silicon Anode Plant.
NEO was last seen up $0.02 to $0.64 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
