Apple Removes ICE-Tracking App From App Store on Government Request
Oct 3, 2025 1:33 AM

04:19 AM EDT, 10/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) has removed the ICEBlock application from its App Store following concerns raised by US government authorities, including the Department of Justice, several media outlets reported Thursday.

The app allows users to track US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, with the DOJ saying it could raise the risk of assaults on agents, according to Reuters.

"Based on information we've received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store," Bloomberg quoted Apple ( AAPL ) as saying.

Apple ( AAPL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
