05:10 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) will add new artificial intelligence tools, including Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI's ChatGPT into upcoming updates of iPhones, iPads, and Macs, the companies said Wednesday.

No financial terms were disclosed.

The upgrades, called Apple Intelligence, combine generative AI with personal information "to understand and create language and images, take action across apps, and draw from personal context to simplify and accelerate everyday tasks," Apple ( AAPL ) said.

The upgrade will include new AI-powered writing, transcription, organizational, image creation, photo and video editing, and voice command tools powered by ChatGPT.
