Applied Materials Tends to Reverse or Narrow Earnings-Driven After-Hours Gains in Next Day's Regular Session

07:01 AM EDT, 05/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Applied Materials ( AMAT ) is due with its Q2 results after the close today, and analysts polled by Capital IQ are expecting the company to report a profit of $1.99 per share on revenue of $6.5 billion.

AMAT has a tendency to reverse its after-hours movement the next day following an evening earnings event. It has done so after 44 of the last 80 earnings events.
