04:27 PM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Applied Optoelectronics ( AAOI ) said late Monday it has received a new volume order worth over $53 million from a hyperscale customer for 800G data center transceivers to help expand its network capacity for AI-driven workloads.

Shipments are expected to start in Q2, and be completed by the middle of Q3, the company said.

Shares of the company were up over 2% in after-hours activity.
