Armstrong World Industries' Q1 Adjusted Earnings, Net Sales Increase

10:21 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Armstrong World Industries ( AWI ) reported Q1 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $1.38 per diluted share, up from $1.12 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.23.

Net sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $326.3 million compared with $310.2 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $319.4 million.

The building materials company raised its full-year outlook for adjusted EPS to $5.80 to $6.05, from the previous range of $5.60 to $5.90, and for net sales to $1.40 billion to $1.44 billion, from $1.34 billion to $1.38 billion previously. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect an adjusted EPS of $5.76 on revenue of $1.35 billion.
