Asana Fiscal Q1 Loss Narrows, Revenue Rises; Q2 Outlook Set -- Shares Rise After Hours

05:17 PM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Asana (ASAN) reported fiscal Q1 non-GAAP net loss Thursday of $0.06 per share, narrower than a loss of $0.09 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected a loss of $0.08.

Revenue for the quarter ended April 30 was $172.5 million, up from $152.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $168.8 million.

The company expects fiscal Q2 non-GAAP net loss of $0.09 to $0.08 per share and revenue of $177 million to $178 million. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect a loss of $0.04 on revenue of $177.5 million.

For the fiscal year 2025, the company narrowed its non-GAAP net loss outlook to $0.21 to $0.19 per share from $0.22 to $0.19 per share and raised its revenue guidance to $719 million to $724 million from $716 million to $722 million. Analysts expect a loss of $0.20 on revenue of $722.1 million.

Shares of the company were up 9.5% in after-hours trading.
