05:22 AM EDT, 07/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ashland (ASH) said late Tuesday it is closing two New Jersey plants to cut costs as part of a $60 million optimization plan.
The company is closing its facility in Parlin, moving production of hydroxyethyl cellulose to its Hopewell, Virginia, plant. It is also closing its Chatham plant, moving microbial protection production to its Freetown, Massachusetts facility.
