04:58 PM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Atico Mining ( ATCMF ) after trade Tuesday said third-quarter copper and gold production from its El Roble mine in Colombia declined year-over-year.
Production for the quarter stood at 2.24-million pounds of copper and 1,906 ounces of gold in concentrates, a decline of 23% and 8%, respectively, compared to the same quarter in 2024, the company said.
During the quarter ended Sept. 30, Atico processed an average of 741 tonnes of ore per day, down 3% from the daily average for the third quarter of 2024. The copper head grade was 1.82%, showing a 14% decline year over year. The gold head grade remained steady at 1.53 grams per tonne, according to the statement.
Atico Mining ( ATCMF ) said that the El Roble mine is currently in the midst of a transition from mining lower zones to accessing new, higher-grade reserves in the upper areas. This change is also reflected in the company's updated production and cost guidance for the full year.
Copper production is now forecasted to be between 9 and 9.5 million pounds, while gold output is expected to range from 7,500 to 8,500 ounces, the company said.
The company's shares closed down $0.015 to $0.225 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
