08:13 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aya Gold & Silver ( AYASF ) reported Wednesday additional high-grade silver drill results from its at-depth drill exploration program at the Zgounder silver mine in Morocco.

Results include 1,339 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 9.5 meters, 626 g/t silver over 6.0 meters and 2,372 g/t silver over 6.5 meters.

"Today's high-grade drill results... continue to confirm high-grade continuity of silver mineralization at Zgounder," President and CEO Benoit La Salle said. "In addition, the silver-rich intercepts in the western and eastern extremities continue to increase the resource expansion potential."

Aya said four underground rigs are currently active and the company expects to deliver additional results in the coming months.

Aya's share price fell 7.6% yesterday to $13.83 on the TSX.
