08:17 AM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aya Gold & Silver ( AYASF ) reported Tuesday exploration results from its Zgounder silver mine in Morocco, including the discovery of a new mineralized zone north of the current open pit.
The company said drill hole ZG-25-156 intercepted 167 grams per tonne (g/t) silver over 2.0 meters within a broader 19.0-meter interval.
"The discovery of a new mineralized zone, north of the open pit, is an exciting development that has the potential to grow near-mine resources," president and chief executive Benoit La Salle said. "We plan to follow up with additional drilling in the coming months."
Aya also reported high-grade results from its ongoing drill program. Highlights from drill hole ZG-SF-25-319 included 655 g/t silver over 4.5 meters, 670 g/t silver over 3.0 meters, and 442 g/t silver over 2.5 meters.
"High-grade intercepts such as hole ZG-SF-25-319 in the west area near the granite contact further demonstrate the mineralization at depth, extending beyond the current resource model," La Salle said.
