Baird Medical to Expand Microwave Ablation Technology Globally

10:47 AM EDT, 04/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baird Medical Investment ( BDMD ) said Wednesday that the US Food and Drug Administration has issued a Certificate to Foreign Government to Egyptian regulators, confirming the company's compliance with US medical device standards and enabling market entry into Egypt.

The company has also submitted regulatory registration applications for its microwave ablation technology in Egypt, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, and India, and expects timely approvals in these regions.

To support its international rollout, Baird Medical is collaborating with local healthcare institutions to build distribution networks and provide training on microwave ablation procedures.

Shares of Baird Medical were down nearly 4% in recent trading.
