Baker Hughes Selected by Petrobras to Provide Subsea Tree Systems

07:33 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Baker Hughes ( BKR ) said Monday that it has been selected by Petrobras (PBR) to provide as many as 50 subsea tree systems and related services for offshore oil and gas production in Brazil.

Financial terms were not disclosed, although Baker Hughes ( BKR ) described the award as "significant."

Under the contract, Baker Hughes ( BKR ) said it will build pre-salt standard subsea trees for Petrobras, along with subsea distribution units, in-line tees, and vertical connection systems, with procurement and manufacturing set to begin in Q3.

The company also said that topside control cabinets will monitor and control subsea equipment from floating production storage and offloading vessels.
