11:17 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Barrick Mining ( B ) up over 5% on last look, Monday said it has sealed a deal which ends all of its disputes with the Mali government over the Loulo and Gounkoto mines.
A statement noted that all charges brought against Barrick and employees will be dropped. Steps to release the four detained Barrick employees will be undertaken. The provisional administration of the Loulo-Gounkoto complex will also be terminated, with operational control over the complex returned to Barrick.
As a result of the settlement, Barrick's subsidiaries will withdraw the arbitration claims currently pending before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Barrick Gold ( B ) shares are up $2.77, to $54.30, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
