08:06 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bedford Metals ( URGYF ) said over the weekend that it engaged Grander Exploration to assist in the planning of a fall exploration program at the Ubiquity Lake uranium project in Saskatchewan.

The company said final details will be determined once assay results from the recent sampling are received.

"The explosion of AI and its associated energy demands further validate the growing need for reliable, low-carbon energy sources like nuclear power," Bedford President Peter Born said. "Our focus on uranium exploration and development is not only timely but critical."

Bedford's share price fell 1.1% on Friday to $1.78 on the TSXV.
