Bharat Puri narrates Pidilite’s journey to success

The waterproofing market is worth Rs 7,000 crore, and Pidilite is the market leader in this segment. Lower prices of crude — a key raw material — is working to Pidilite’s advantage at this point. Also, if there is a flight to safety, Pidilite will benefit.

Speaking at Motilal Oswal’s 25th Wealth Creation Study -- Bharat Puri, Managing Director of Pidilite Industries narrated the company’s journey to success.

“Over time if I were to tell you what is the Pidilite formula – spot unserved, underserved categories which are commodities and fill those not with the product, but with a brand. Then work tirelessly with both consumers and users until you create the category, and then you repeat it again,” he said.
