07:56 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Bitfarms ( BITF ) on Tuesday said it appointed Liam Wilson, who has more than 20 years of leadership experience and is an expert in the deregulated U.S. energy industry, as chief operating officer.

Bitfarms ( BITF ) also said it appointed Chief Executive Ben Gagnon to the board, effective immediately.

The board also appointed Lead Director Brian Howlett as its new independent chairman. Nicolas Bonta, founder and former Chairman, has decided to step down, effective immediately.
