BlackBerry's QNX Unit Collaborates With Microsoft on Automotive Software

09:08 AM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BlackBerry (BB) unit QNX said Monday that it is collaborating with Microsoft ( MSFT ) to create software for original equipment manufacturers developing software-defined vehicles.

The company said that under the collaboration QNZ's software development platform 8.0 will be available on Microsoft's ( MSFT ) cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Shares of BlackBerry and Microsoft ( MSFT ) were up 2.7% and 1%, respectively in recent premarket activity.
