10:25 AM EDT, 07/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) senior executive Wesley LePatner was among four people killed Monday by a lone shooter who then turned the gun on himself at the lobby of an office building in Midtown Manhattan, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday.
LePatner was a senior managing director at Blackstone, global head of Core+ Real Estate, and chief executive officer of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, Reuters reported, citing the company.
"We are heartbroken to share that our colleague, Wesley LePatner, was among those who lost their lives in the tragic incident at 345 Park Avenue. Words cannot express the devastation we feel," the company said in a statement, according to Reuters.
Blackstone's Manhattan offices are closed Tuesday, Reuters said, citing a source familiar with the matter.
Blackstone did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
