06:47 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) has been ordered by a federal judge to work with the US Justice Department to clarify how diversity and inclusion policies affect the selection of an independent monitor, multiple media reported late Tuesday.

US District Judge Reed O'Connor held a hearing on Friday regarding Boeing's ( BA ) agreement to plead guilty to conspiring to defraud regulators. The plea includes three years of oversight by a monitor.

The reports added that the judge had set Oct. 25 as the deadline for Boeing ( BA ) and the DOJ to respond to questions about the selection process as per the government's commitment to diversity.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
