04:54 AM EST, 01/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) said Wednesday that it expects airlines in India and South Asia to add a total of about 3,290 commercial airplanes to their fleets by 2044 as air traffic in the regions is estimated to grow average of 7% annually over the next 20 years.
The company said it estimates the Indian and South Asian fleet to grow from 795 to 2,925 planes in 20 years, including replacements and new additions.
