12:20 PM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) shares rose as Uzbekistan Airways placed the single largest order in the airline's history for up to 22 of 787 Dreamliners, including purchase of 14 of 787-9s and options for eight more, valued at over $8 billion.
The order is expected to support nearly 35,000 jobs in the US, with Boeing ( BA ) and the Uzbekistan Ministry of Transport also signing a memorandum of cooperation to explore further aviation opportunities, Boeing ( BA ) said in a statement Monday.
President Donald Trump praised Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the agreement, highlighting it as a "GREAT DEAL" and signaling continued collaboration on many more items.
Boeing ( BA ) shares climbed 1.9% in recent trading on Tuesday.
