08:11 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers will restart contract talks Wednesday in the presence of federal mediators as the two sides failed to agree on two key issues: wages and pensions, the union said in a post on X Wednesday.

"The company doesn't seem to be taking mediation seriously," IAM Union District 751 said in the post. "With a 96% strike vote, we thought Boeing ( BA ) would finally understand that IAM 751 Machinists are demanding more."

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
