06:56 AM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing Company's ( BA ) 737 MAX production cap of 38 planes per month is still under consideration by the Federal Aviation Administration, Reuters reported Monday, citing FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford.
The agency imposed the production limit on Boeing ( BA ) in early 2024 shortly after a mid-air emergency involving a 737 MAX missing four key bolts, according to the report.
The FAA has maintained enhanced in-person oversight of Boeing ( BA ) production since the incident, and Bedford reportedly said he was encouraged by Boeing's ( BA ) improvements but is waiting for data to make a decision.
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
