Bombardier Defense, SNC Sign 10-Year Service Deal Covering Global 6500 Aircraft
Oct 14, 2025 6:25 AM

08:49 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Bombardier Defense and global aerospace player SNC (SNC.TO) Tuesday signed a 10-year service agreement for two Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft equipped with SNC's RAPCON-X technology.

According to a statement, this agreement is especially designed to reduce costs for operators whose annual aircraft usage significantly exceeds industry averages. It said Smart Services Defense will cover the cost of logistical support for the aircraft, including spare parts, shipping, technical publications and technical support, as well as access to Bombardier's 24/7 Customer Response Centre.

Under the agreement, Bombardier will cover predetermined costs for SNC, which operates the two COCO (contractor-owned, contractor-operated) aircraft for a U.S. military customer.

Meanwhile, plane maker Bombardier (BBD-B.TO) over the Canada Thanksgiving holiday announced that Comlux, a business aviation company, will take delivery of the Global 8000 aircraft in 2026. A statement noted the firm order for one Global 8000 aircraft was announced during NBAA-BACE 2025. Bombardier also said the Global 8000 is on track to enter service in 2025 as the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, adding it will set a new industry benchmark with a MMO of Mach 0.95.

Bombardier Class B shares were down about 1.6% last Friday.
