BorgWarner to Collaborate With Manufacture 2030 to Reduce Supply Chain Emissions

10:15 AM EST, 03/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BorgWarner ( BWA ) said Wednesday it is collaborating with decarbonization software provider Manufacture 2030 to reduce its supply chain emissions.

Manufacture 2030's software will be used to monitor and decrease energy consumption, and BorgWarner ( BWA ) expects the partnership to support its aim of cutting absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Scope 3 emissions encompass the indirect greenhouse gas emissions produced from activities not directly owned or managed by the reporting entity but influenced by its operations within the value chain, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency.

BorgWarner ( BWA ) shares rose 1.8% in recent trading Wednesday.
