Brazilian lender Itau Unibanco's net recurring profit rises to $1.8 bln in second quarter

SAO PAULO, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Brazil's Itau Unibanco ( ITUB )

, Latin America's largest private lender by total

assets, posted on Tuesday a net recurring profit of 10.1 billion

reais ($1.8 billion) for the second quarter, above the 8.7

billion reais in profit in the same period last year.

Analysts polled by LSEG expected a net recurring profit of

9.99 billion reais for the quarter ended in June.
