SAO PAULO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Brazilian conglomerate
Cosan ( CSAN ) posted on Friday a net loss of 1.2 billion
reais ($222.06 million) for the third quarter, reversing the net
profit it reported in the same period a year ago.
-- Cosan's ( CSAN ) net loss widened 25% from the previous quarter.
-- Companies in Cosan's ( CSAN ) portfolio posted combined earnings
before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA)
of 7.4 billion reais, down 11.2% year-over-year.
-- The firm said it faced a challenging macroeconomic
scenario in Brazil, citing high interest rates and falling
commodity prices.
-- Cosan's ( CSAN ) portfolio includes companies such as Raizen
, Rumo ( RUMOF ), Compass, Moove and
Radar.
