April 23 (Reuters) - British sportswear retailer JD

Sports Fashion has proposed to buy U.S. athletic-fashion

retailer Hibbett Inc ( HIBB ) for about $1.08 billion, the

companies said on Tuesday.

JD Sports will pay $87.50 per Hibbett ( HIBB ) share in cash.
